Orijtech Energy is the trading name of Orijtech Uganda Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), an Energy Service Company incorporated and operating in Uganda. Orijtech Uganda Ltd is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

We collect personal data in the following circumstances:

• Contact form submissions — name, company name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message.
• Site assessment submissions — name, job title, company name, email address, phone number, facility details, and your responses to assessment questions.
• Website analytics — if you consent to analytics cookies, we collect anonymised usage data via Google Analytics 4 (pages visited, session duration, device type, approximate location at country level).

We do not collect sensitive personal data. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years of age.

Facility measurement data is separate. Where we operate metering, monitoring or audit services for a client, the resulting measurement data — consumption, demand, power quality and load profiles — is that client's data, held under the contract for those services and not under this policy. It is not personal data, it is not combined with the website data described above, and it is never shared with, sold to, or used to benchmark against another client without written instruction.

We use the personal data you provide to:

• Respond to your enquiry or process your site assessment request
• Send you a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your submission
• Follow up with a proposal or consultation as requested
• Maintain a record of business communications
• Improve our website and services (analytics data only, with consent)

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda and its regulations. We rely on the following legal bases:

• Legitimate interests — responding to business enquiries you have initiated.
• Contract performance — processing assessment submissions and delivering the services you have requested.
• Consent — analytics cookies, which are only set after you have given explicit consent via the cookie banner.

Form submissions are stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase (EU West region). Email notifications are processed by Resend. Both services operate under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Access to submission data is restricted to Orijtech Energy personnel with a legitimate business need.

We retain contact and assessment submission data for a period of three years from the date of submission, or for the duration of any business relationship, whichever is longer. After this period, data is deleted or anonymised.

Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google Analytics 4's standard retention settings (14 months by default).

Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time via the cookie settings on this site

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@orijtechenergy.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda.

Our website and services use the following third-party processors:

• Supabase — database and backend infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery
• Google Analytics 4 — website analytics (consent required)

Spam protection on our forms is applied on our own server by rate limiting. It uses no third-party processor and sets no cookie. If we later enable a third-party bot-protection service, this policy and our Cookie Policy will be updated before it goes live.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
